Original Cabinet Photo Of 4 Masted Sailing Vessel Launching In Thomaston, Maine

Up for sale is a nice cabinet photograph of a 4 masted sailing vessel launching in Thomaston, Maine in 1901. Photo mounted to original board backing as shown. Photograph measures 4 3/4 inches by 7 3/8 inches. The frame measures 10 7/8 inches by 12 1/4 inches. The photo is identified on original mat as shown with much more info on the verso. The photographer's last name is  Orff from Cushing, Maine. I found a reference to an Eldrean Orff from Cushing who was born in 1860 and died in 1938. He is buried in the Orff Cemetery in Cushing, Maine. Good quality photo as shown. I removed the photo from its original frame and cleaned the glass, added a new acid free back, added a new dust protector, mounting hardware and wall protectors as shown. It is ready to hang on your wall. A nice piece of Maine nautical and maritime history.
